YOU NEED TO DO THIS NOW
Unless you are consistently saving your content externally to Instagram [Images, Videos and Captions], you need to be backing up your content regularly.
There is a multitude of reasons why you should do this but let me mention a few.
1. You can be locked out of your account.
2. Instagram falls over [technology isn’t always reliable ].
3. Your account gets hacked.
4. You enter the age of your business rather than your ACTUAL age, and Instagram decides your account can’t exist any longer. [Yes, this has happened to people].
Here is what I do!
For many Clients, I keep my captions saved in Google Docs. Not only is this great for searching keywords for posts you may want to repurpose, but you can also keep banks of your hashtags!
I back up their Instagram a minimum of every 2 months.
Whenever I download the new data, I replace the last folder, so it doesn’t take up additional space.
If you are not doing either of these, at a minimum, you should back up your Instagram.
